Ben Domenech: It Feels Like The Democrats Are Trying To Run Against Mitt Romney Right Now

Editor at Large of The Spectator Ben Domenech joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on how many of the speakers at this week’s Democratic National Convention in Chicago are intentionally avoiding going into detail on key issues that actually matter to voters.

“When you look at what has played out over the course of this week, what you really see is them trying to change the subject away from everything that we see in this election is being a fundamental. What are the fundamentals here? Okay. Top three issues economy, immigration and security, whether it’s, you know, domestic crime, foreign security, that kind of thing. And that’s been consistent in all the polls going back more than a year. And yet if we look at this convention, what are they talking about? They’re talking about vibes. They’re talking about joy. They’re talking about, you know, oh, we’re going to do the hard work and the hard work.  I mean, come on. This is someone showing up who hasn’t read the book and trying t pitch their takeaways to the class. And it’s like, okay, I think that you are just making a joke of all of this. You know, one of the major exports of Iran is obviously corn, also known as maize. It’s only really absurd. And, and I think that for the American people who are not Democrat partisans, which is obviously the vast majority of them, I don’t think any of this moves them at all. I don’t think that it’s getting through. I think that they’re thinking about what to do in terms of a future bet on the NFL, and they’re not paying attention to that.”

Ben and Jimmy also talk about the anti-Israel protests that have been happening near the site of the DNC in Chicago. Listen to the podcast to hear what else they discussed!
