Ford Everest Tremor Unveiled in Australia with Enhanced Off-Road Capabilities

Ford has introduced a more rugged and off-road-focused version of the Everest SUV in Australia, dubbed the Everest Tremor. This new variant boasts a host of upgrades that make it even more capable than the standard model, previously sold in India under the Endeavour name.

Upgraded Suspension and Enhanced Off-Road Features

The Everest Tremor stands out with a raised ride height, sitting an inch higher than the standard Everest, and features a wider 1.1-inch track. It rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in robust General Grabber AT3 tires, ensuring it’s ready for the toughest terrains. The Tremor also benefits from a completely revamped suspension system, incorporating new springs and Bilstein position-sensitive dampers with external reservoirs. Additionally, the SUV gains a Rock Crawl drive mode, enhancing its off-road prowess. Ford also offers an array of optional packages, including the Rough Terrain pack, which adds a more aggressive front bumper.

Visual and Functional Enhancements

The suspension upgrade, off-road tires, and underbody protection are complemented by visual enhancements that give the Tremor a more imposing presence. The SUV is equipped with blacked-out 17-inch alloy wheels, Asphalt Black wheel arch moldings, and position-sensitive Bilstein dampers with a lift kit, all without compromising its 3.5-tonne towing capacity.

Striking Design and Premium Interior

Aesthetically, the Tremor is distinguished by a bold, blacked-out grille with integrated LED lights, a beefier front bumper, a sturdy skid plate with tow hooks, and heavy-duty side steps. Inside, the cabin features leather-accented seats embossed with the Tremor logo and all-weather floor mats. The seven-seat configuration includes amenities like dual-zone climate control, an eight-way power driver’s seat, and adaptive cruise control.

Power and Performance

Under the hood, the Everest Tremor is powered by a robust 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine, delivering 250 hp and 600 Nm of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission that channels power to all four wheels. Unlike the four-cylinder Ranger Tremor truck it’s based on, the Everest Tremor exclusively features this larger V6 engine.

Pricing and Potential Indian Launch

The Ford Everest Tremor is priced at AUD 83,303 (approximately INR 47 lakh) before options. Speculation suggests that Ford may reintroduce Everest to the Indian market through the CBU route initially, with local manufacturing possibly commencing by late 2025 or early 2026.
