Armenian and Iranian Foreign Ministers "synchronized their watches"  on cooperation agenda

ArmInfo.Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a telephone conversation with the newly appointed Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqhchi.  According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry's press service, Mirzoyan congratulated Araqhchi on his appointment and wished him success in his new role.  

During the conversation, the interlocutors discussed various issues related to Armenian-Iranian bilateral relations, emphasizing their mutual commitment to strengthening friendly ties and lasting partnerships in the areas of mutual interest. They also discussed the upcoming programs.  Mirzoyan expressed his appreciation for Iran's strong position on upholding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Armenia.

It should be noted that on August 21, the Iranian Parliament approved all the nominees for the country's Cabinet of Ministers proposed by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. The new Iranian President presented the list of candidates for the ministerial posts to the Iranian Parliament on August 11. Abbas Araqhchi became Iran's new Foreign Minister with 244 votes.
