Aston Martin’s Latest Vantage Arrives in India at ₹3.99 Crore: Redefining Sports Car Excellence

Aston Martin has announced the introduction of the latest Vantage in India, priced at ₹3.99 Cr, excluding personalized options. This new model represents a significant moment in the brand’s 74-year history, offering a blend of performance, luxury, and heritage designed to appeal to driving enthusiasts.

Continuing a Legacy

The Vantage name has a long history, beginning in 1950 as an enhanced engine option for the DB2. By 1964, it had become a model designation with the DB5, and in the early 1970s, the Vantage evolved into a standalone model. Over the years, it has become associated with Aston Martin’s commitment to style, performance, and distinctive character. The new Vantage continues this legacy during a transformative period in Aston Martin’s history.

The Vantage’s exterior design features an aggressive front grille, aerodynamic lines, and a dynamic silhouette. Inside, the cabin combines luxury with technology, offering premium materials, a modern infotainment system, and advanced driver-assistance technologies

Performance Specifications

The new Vantage is powered by a reworked 4.0 Twin-Turbo V8 engine, delivering 665PS and 800Nm of torque. This marks a 30% increase in power and 15% in torque compared to its predecessor. Paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, the Vantage achieves a top speed of 202 mph and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. The car’s cooling system and Launch Control system support its performance.

The Vantage’s handling benefits from a bonded aluminum structure, providing a 50:50 weight distribution. Additional underbody stiffening and adaptive dampers enhance its precision. The car’s Electronic Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tires, and 21” forged alloy wheels contribute to its performance. Carbon Ceramic Brakes are available as an upgrade to the standard cast-iron brakes.

Aston Martin’s Chief Executive Officer, Amedeo Felisa, emphasized the importance of maintaining the qualities that have built the brand’s reputation. “Any car bearing the Vantage name has much to live up to, which is why this newest model makes an unwavering commitment to high-performance in its purest and most explicit form,” he stated.

Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Officer, noted that the Vantage’s design was influenced by the One-77 supercar. “One look and you know it packs a real punch, but there’s an elegance of form and proportion that hints at the sophistication that underpins its raw power,” he explained.

Interior Features

The Vantage’s interior reflects Aston Martin’s dedication to luxury and craftsmanship. It includes a hand-stitched Bridge of Weir hides and modern technology, such as a 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system and a 10.25” touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone integration.  Key features include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and a comprehensive airbag system.

Production and Availability

Production of the new Aston Martin Vantage is expected to begin in Q1 2024, with deliveries scheduled for Q2 2024. The new Vantage aims to combine performance, luxury, and modern technology in a way that aligns with Aston Martin’s long-standing reputation.
