Farhan Akhtar returns to acting with 120 Bahadur after two years; says 'It is an absolute privilege to...'

Farhan Akhtar is not only a brilliant director but also an incredible actor who has delivered remarkable performances in films like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Dil Dhadakne Do, Rock On, and many others. His last appearance on screen was in the 2021 OTT release Toofan, alongside Mrunal Thakur. After a three-year hiatus from acting, Farhan has now announced his return with a new project titled 120 Bahadur.

On Instagram, Farhan shared a motion poster for 120 Bahadur, along with a caption revealing details about the project. He expressed how privileged he feels to bring the story of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, PVC, and the soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment, to the screen. The Don director began his post with the powerful words, "What they accomplished will never be forgotten."

The Sky is Pink actor further elaborated on the war drama, which is based on the Battle of Rezang La. "Fought on the 18th of November 1962 during the Indo-China war, it is a story of remarkable courage, heroism and selflessness shown by our men in uniform against all odds. We are grateful to the Indian Army for their support in bringing this incredible tale of valour to the screen. We embark today to make this film in all humility and with utmost respect to those we represent," he wrote. The actor also shared some posters in another post.

Further in this entertainment news, Ranveer Singh shared his excitement by commenting on Farhan's post with several emojis, including heart and fire symbols, to convey his best wishes for the new project.

Meanwhile, Farhan Akhtar is also set to return to directing with Don 3, following a long break. The film stars Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani in the lead roles, and recent reports suggest that Made in Heaven actress Sobhita Dhulipala will feature in a special dance number. This marks the third installment of his Don franchise, which previously starred Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra.

Additionally, Farhan has Jee Le Zara in the pipeline, a film centred around three women embarking on a road trip together. The cast includes Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt. Although the movie was announced over two years ago, there haven't been many updates on its progress yet.
