ArmInfo. Now there is a historic chance to turn the geopolitical deadlock in the South Caucasus into a crossroads of peace. This statement was made by Ruben Rubinyan, Vice-Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, during the panel discussions at the forum on September 10.  

He noted that Armenia is engaging in a dialogue with Turkey while  remembering history. The misunderstanding of Armenian-Turkish  relations by the international community, regarding their historical  past, is the main obstacle to normalizing diplomatic relations and  opening borders. In fact, every Armenian government since 1991 has  made it a priority to improve relations with Turkey, and the current  government is prepared to do so, including the possibility of opening  the borders. , he noted.
