This renowned veteran actor has worked in the Telugu film industry and has impressed everyone with his acting skills. But, did you know before he made his debut in the showbiz industry, he used to work as a physical education instructor? Yes, you read that right. After a few years, he got his first break in the film industry and gained a lot of fame during the mid-70s.

Mohan Babu aka Manchu Bhaktavatsalam Naidu comes from a modest family his father worked as a school headmaster and his mother Lakshmamma was a homemaker. After completing his graduation, Mohan Babu worked as a physical education instructor and entered the showbiz industry. He later worked as an assistant director and started getting good opportunities.

On the personal front, he is married to Nirmala Devi and has three children - Lakshmi Manchu, Vishnu Manchu, and Manoj Manchu. The actor got his first break with Swargam Narakam, directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. The film was released in 1975 and became a super hit. After that, he decided to change his name. He gave hit films like Khaidi Kalidasu, Ketugadu, Gruha Pravesam, and more. Prathigna and more films which he produced. The actor was honored with the Padma Shri for his contributions to the industry. Mohan Babu also received an honorary doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley.

Did you know, that he founded the Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust which provides education to underprivileged children. On the work front, he will reportedly feature in the Kannappa alongside his son Vishnu Manchu.
