Introduction of ‘More for Less’ Pricing and New Line Structures for Virtus and Taigun

VW India has introduced the Virtus GT Plus Sport and Virtus GT Line, alongside a refreshed line structure for its India 2.0 models. The new lineup focuses on delivering enhanced features with a more aggressive design, targeting customers looking for sportier aesthetics at competitive prices.

Virtus GT Line and GT Plus Sport: Updated with New Features

The Virtus GT Plus Sport and GT Line are designed with a black-themed exterior, offering updates such as blackened LED headlamps, a black front grille, and 16-inch ‘Razor’ black alloy wheels. Inside, both variants come equipped with features like a 20.32 cm digital cockpit, electric sunroof, and black leatherette upholstery with red ambient lighting.

The Virtus GT Plus Sport is powered by a 1.5l TSI EVO petrol engine, available with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG transmission, and includes additional features like ventilated front seats, an electric driver and co-driver seat, and an advanced infotainment system with amplifier and subwoofer. The GT Line, meanwhile, is powered by the 1.0l TSI engine with a choice of manual or automatic transmissions.

Introduction of Highline Plus Variant

Volkswagen has also launched a new Highline Plus variant for both the Virtus and Taigun. This variant is powered by the 1.0l TSI petrol engine and features a 20.32 cm digital cockpit, electric sunroof, KESSY keyless entry, and auto headlights. Prices for the Highline Plus start at INR 13.87 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Virtus and INR 14.26 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Taigun.

Taigun GT Line Feature Upgrades

The Taigun GT Line has received an upgrade in features similar to the Virtus GT Line, including the digital cockpit, rain-sensing wipers, and auto-dimming IRVM. These updates aim to enhance the appeal of the Taigun in the competitive compact SUV segment.

New Chrome and Sport Offer Structures

Volkswagen is introducing a new offer structure across its Virtus and Taigun models, split into ‘Chrome’ and ‘Sport’ categories. The ‘Chrome’ variants are focused on providing a more refined design, while the ‘Sport’ variants cater to customers looking for sportier, darker-themed aesthetics.

Entertainment and Safety Enhancements

Volkswagen has also added a subwoofer and amplifier as standard equipment on the Topline variants of both the Virtus and Taigun. Safety features across the GT Line and GT Plus Sport include 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), ABS, and additional driver assistance systems.

These updates are part of Volkswagen India’s strategy to refresh its product offerings and cater to evolving customer preferences with more feature-rich, competitively priced options.
