Volume of industrial production in Armenia increased by 13.7% in 8 months, to 1.9 trillion drams

YEREVAN, October 7 /ARKA/. The volume of industrial production in Armenia in January-August 2024 amounted to 1,877,920.0 million drams (at current prices), increasing by 13.7% compared to the same period in 2023, according to data published by the Armenian National Statistical Committee.br/pp

At the same time, the volume of industrial output in August amounted to 241,763.7 million drams, an increase of 2.1% compared to August 2023, and 7.5% compared to July 2024./pp

The volume of production in the mining industry and open-pit mining for the first seven months of this year amounted to 310,012.9 million drams (a decline of 8.1% compared to the same period in 2023), and in the manufacturing industry - 1,319,573.0 million drams (an increase of 20.7%)./pp

The volume in the sphere of electricity, gas, steam and purified air supplies amounted to 227,481.6 million drams (an increase of 11.7%), and in the sphere of water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling – 20,852.5 million drams (an increase of 5.5%).nbsp;/pp

The largest share in the structure of industrial production for January-August falls to the share of the manufacturing industry - 70.3%. The share of the mining industry and the operation of open pit mines is 16.5%, the supply of electricity, gas, steam and purified air - 12.1%, and water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling - 1.1%.
