Former human rights defenders of Armenia, Artsakh discuss issues of cultural heritage of Artsakh
ArmInfo.Former Human Rights Defender of Armenia Arman Tatoyan, together with Artsakh Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan, visited the presbytery of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
As Tatoyan himself reported on his Facebook page, they met with the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese, Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan.
The meeting discussed issues related to the rights of Artsakh Armenians and the preservation of the spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh.
The interlocutors also touched upon issues of further cooperation, in particular, with the aim of bringing to the attention of the international community the threats to the Armenian cultural heritage in the territories under the control of Azerbaijan.
After the forcible seizure of the territories of Artsakh, Azerbaijan began to erase traces of the Armenian presence on this originally Armenian land.
