BYD eMAX 7 Launched, Gets 6 & 7 Seater Options
BYD India has launched the successor to the e6 MPV, the BYD eMAX 7. The eMAX 7 will be available in two variants having varying battery capacity. The new electric MPV has been priced at ₹26.90 lakh ex-showroom
Variants and Battery capacity
The eMAX 7 will be available in Superior and Premium variants. The Superior gets a 71.8 kWh battery pack that boasts of 530 km of range. The lower Premium variant gets a 55.4 kWh battery claiming a range of 420 km. Both ranges are on the NEDC (New European Driving Cycle). The Superior and Premium variants will havr 6 and 7 seater options.
The Superior variant can sprint from 0 to 100 in just 8.6 seconds while the Premium can do the same run in 10.1 seconds. The Superior produces 217.5 PS of power and 310 Nm of torque. The Premium produces 163 PS and 310 Nm of torque. Both can achieve a top speed of 180 kmph.
BYD eMAX 7 Design
The BYD eMAX 7 gets a commanding stance with sleek aerodynamic lines. The dragon-face facia adds to the imposing stance. The car gets Crystal Diamond LED headlamps, 17-inch alloys, LED lighting at the rear completing the sleek and sharp design.
Inside, the car is equipped with two-tone interiors in Black and Brown and a 12.8 inch infotainment display which rotates like on the BYD Seal. It also gets a 5-inch driver information display.
The MPV gets a fully foldable third row that opens up 580 L of boot space. The middle row (7-seater) also gets a 60-40 split.
The eMAX 7 will be available in Quartz Blue, Cosmos Black, Crystal White, and Harbor Grey colour options
Features
The car gets a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, USB type A and type C ports, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay other futuristic features. It also gets NFC reader to start the car with an NFC card and a PM 2.5 filter.
The vehicle comes with 8 years/1,60,000 km warranty for the battery, 8 years/1,50,000 km warranty for the motor and motor controller, and 6 years/1,50,000 km warranty on the rest of the vehicle.
