Meet actor who left UPSC prep for movies, worked with Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan

He was one of the most promising actors we had in the 90s and his good looks have our hearts even today.
Actor who left UPSC prep for movies
He belonged to a good and influential family. His father was an ex-MLA from Khair (Aligarh) and his mother was the daughter of the Maharaja of Bolangir in Odisha. Even before he was an actor, he was a History and Music teacher. He was preparing for UPSC exams but left it just to get into the world of cinema.
Yes, we are talking about Chandrachur Singh. At that time, Amitabh Bachchan was looking for fresh faces his production ABCL and Chandrachur convinced his parents and moved to Mumbai. And, Chandrachur Singh bagged his first film, Tere Mere Sapne in 1996.
The movie turned out to be a big success and Chandrachur became a famous personality. His acting career started since then. He then did Gulzar's Maachis and later, Daag-The Fire (1999), Josh (2000), Kya Kehna (2000), and Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa (2001).
Later, he had a serious injury in 2000 while riding a jet ski. He dislocated his shoulder and had to go through physiotherapy. He had to reject many offers because of his health and hence there was a downfall in his career. Later in 2012 he returned with Chaar Din Ki Chandni and Zilla Ghaziabad but could not do great work.

He then made a good comeback with Sushmita Sen's web series Aarya in 2020. The web series was a big thing in Entertainment News. There is no stopping for him post that.
