Genoa reportedly nears agreement for Balotelli’s return in training camp.
Alfredo Pedullà, through his official website, has provided significant updates regarding former Milan striker Mario Balotelli. The forward appears to be poised for a return to Italy.
“Balotelli wants to play in Serie A, and Genoa could be an opportunity,” Pedullà disclosed. “In recent hours, there have been concrete contacts: the Rossoblu club is keen to acquire a free agent striker, especially after another injury this season to Vitinha.”
He also addressed other reports, stating, “Contrary to recent unfounded denials suggesting the club was not interested as they were focused on finding an attacking midfielder, Genoa has opened discussions, and so has Balotelli.”
According to Pedullà, ongoing conversations are occurring. “There are no agreements yet, but efforts are being made to reach a solution,” he added.
Additionally, Pedullà noted the interest from Torino, explaining, “For the moment, nothing more than being in the background, Torino has not moved decisively after the severe injury to Zapata.”
