Deputy Prime Minister: Armenia currently not considering joining  BRICS

ArmInfo.Armenia will take part in the BRICS summit, scheduled for October 22-24 in Kazan. However, at this point the issue of joining the organization is not being considered. Mher Grigoryan, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, told reporters on October 21.

 "No, there is no such issue at this stage," the Deputy Prime Minister said,  emphasizing the need for extensive discussions before making such a  decision. "It is very important to understand what kind of process  this is, whether it is acceptable for us or not. Consolidation in  BRICS is very challenging," the Deputy Prime Minister stated.
