The movie was produced by his father Kumar S Taurani, the head honcho of Tips Industries. The film made approximately Rs 38.34 crore at the box office. Ramaiya Vastavaiya was a remake of a Telugu film that was also directed by Prabhu Deva. The film released in 2013 and Girish got nominated for several awards in Best Debut Male actor category. However, despite a good debut, it wasn't that he was showered with film offers. Girish Taurani's next movie came after three years of his debut film release. He was seen in Loveshhuda that was directed by Vaibhav Mishra. The film barely made any buzz at the box office. This was his last feature film. Girish Taurani appeared in a short film after that and since then, he has kept aside his acting career. But as per the latest reports in entertainment news, Girish has now joined Tips Industries.

Girish Taurani has reportedly joined father Kumar Taurani and uncle Ramesh Taurani in business. He is now said to be the COO in Tips Industries. As per a report in DNA, he is now the heir of Rs 47000 crore business. Though he may not be in front of the camera, he is still associated with films and has reportedly worked on films like Ponniyin Selvan series and Merry Christmas.
