Udinese suggested Inter are interested in Bijol, providing an update on the deal and discussing recent results.

Gianluca Nani, the technical director of Udinese, has shared his insights on Jaka Bijol’s future with Tv12, amidst swirling transfer market discussions.

Regarding Bijol’s link to Inter Milan, Nani expressed, “Would I be surprised if a strong player like him didn’t appeal to Inter? Absolutely not. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean he is headed there,” he added, clarifying the situation. “He is a very strong player, we know Inter likes him, but as of today, there have been no negotiations. Bijol also understands that if he wants to move to a big club, he needs to perform well here.”

Reflecting on the team’s current form, Nani remarked, “Regardless of the results, which haven’t been positive over the last month, we can consider ourselves fortunate, and these moments help remind us of that.” He continued, “It pleases me that the players haven’t taken the defeat to Genoa lightly. Although we made it difficult for ourselves, it’s equally true that we could have done more, even with ten men.”

Nani acknowledged the expectations of the club’s owners, saying, “The ownership is right; we must and can dream big.” He expressed a sense of accountability to the fans, stating, “We feel somewhat guilty towards the supporters, who are always there for us, and we want to repay them with more results.”

“We are continuing towards our goal, which is to ensure survival. The sooner we achieve that, the sooner we can think about something more ambitious,” Nani concluded.
