'I was celibate for 12 years,' Mamta Kulkarni breaks silence on her marriage with drug lord Vicky Goswami
Mamta Kulkarni was one of the most successful and celebrated actresses 1990s. She was a part of top films like Karan Arjun, China Gate and more. However, controversy followed Mamta Kulkarni when her name got linked to Vicky Goswami. Their name appeared in drug trafficking case and since then Mamta Kulkarni has been away from her motherland. In a recent video, she announced that finally she has returned to India after 24 years. The actress in her recent interviews also opened up about her life, marriage with drug lord Vicky Goswami and more.
Mamta Kulkarni narrates her side of the story
In an interview with entertainment news section of IANS, Mamta Kulkarni clarified that she has not married Vicky Goswami. She revealed that they met in 1996 and in a year, Vicky got arrested in drug case. He was in jail for 12 years. When he was in jail, Mamta Kulkarni focused on spirituality and recalled that she went to Kumbh Mela in 2012. She was further quoted saying, "All this is wrong. I have not married Vicky. I was celibate for 12 years and did not even eat onion and garlic during this time. Yes, it is true that I was with Vicky Goswami and will always love him. However, everything ended due to my focus on spirituality."
The Karan Arjun actress, Mamta Kulkarni, then commented on the case filed against her and said that it was done because of Vicky Goswami or for publicity. She also shared that the officer who filed the case against her, was also declared a fugitive for a few months. She said, "As you sow, so shall you reap. Where is that commissioner today? The police did not have any evidence."
The actress in one of the interviews was also asked if she would be returning to Bollywood soon. To this, she clarified that she has no plans to re-enter Bollywood.
