Rishab Shetty reveals how his movie Kantara turned his village into a cinematic landmark
In 2022, Rishab Shetty astounded us with his brilliant film Kantara. The audience eagerly anticipates the release of the prequel, eager to delve deeper into the culture. It's a special movie for Shetty, as he not only directed and acted in it, but he also shot it as his village. In an interaction with Rana Daggubati on his show, the actor spoke candidly about the same. He also talked about his admiration to a certain South director.

On The Rana Daggubati Show, Rishab Shetty opened up about the origins of Kantara and how crucial it is for his home, village, and community. From childhood, it was his dream to shoot a movie in his village and its forests, Keradi. He even thought of the location for several other movies, but things never fell into place. Eventually, Kantara happened, and he got a chance to shoot the mythological drama here. "It was a collective effort; over 700 people from the village contributed. It's because of this overwhelming involvement that I call my home KFC Keradi Film City."
Further in this entertainment news, in the same interaction, Rishabh Shetty spoke about his admiration for director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Shetty is amazed by Vanga's mind, who made movies like Arjun Reddy and Animal The Kantara actor said that nobody can think like Sandeep and even he can't think the same way again. The actor expressed his desire to be a part of one of Vanga's projects.

Meanwhile, Rishab's next is Kantara Chapter 1, a prequel to his 2022 superhit film. Also starring Jayaram and Jisshu Sengupta, the period fantasy action drama will hit theatres on October 2, 2024. Shetty is also a part of Prashanth Varma's Jai Hanuman, a sequel to his 2023 blockbuster HanuMan.
