Rep. Jeff Van Drew: There Are Still So Many Questions About The Drones Flying Over New Jersey

New Jersey Republican Congressman Jeff Van Drew joins Fox Across America With guest host Harry Hurley to explain why he is of the mind that the Biden administration has not been transparent about the drones recently spotted flying over parts of the Garden State.

“We are a full decade behind China on this. You know, the assistant press secretary for the Pentagon, the deputy press secretary, she said the so called, you know, mother ships. That’s the terminology that’s used in drone world. That’s what they are called. Iran has three of them. For weeks we didn’t know where one of them was. It left port. And I’ll leave you with this. And this is real. I had individuals with high security clearance, these are real people with gravitas. These are people drinking beers in their backyards, flying, you know, hobby drones. And they came to me and they said they were really concerned we were falling so far short and they were concerned about the drones that were being seen. In South Jersey alone and in the state of New Jersey, as you know. And a number of sites now, 22 of them are now no fly restricted zones because of what’s going on, particularly the nuclear Salem plant in Salem, which supplies about 40% of the electric energy for the state of New Jersey. They saw two, and this was not, again, just some neighbors. These were the actual professionals in the plant. Two drones the size of SUVs hovering in the area at the periphery of the plant. They got very concerned. They called us immediately, said they wanted our support to be a restricted zone, which of course, we did. And the FAA declared it a restricted zone. Something is wrong here. And I’ll leave you with this. Either it is gross stupidity and ineptitude by the government, this administration, or a cover up or both.”
