Colors of Fall | Visit Ruka-Kuusamo

During last year's September, I was invited to explore the colorful side of Ruka-Kuusamo, as its landscapes transformed into a vibrant autumn canvas. The forests were ablaze with shades of gold, orange, and deep red, offering a breathtaking contrast to the clear blue lakes and rugged terrain. While awaking early for adventures like hiking through the scenic trails or river rafting on the fast-flowing rivers, the region truly showed off its unique beauty and autumnal glory.

From misty mornings in the valleys to the vivid sunsets over the hills - the peaceful yet dynamic atmosphere that defines Ruka-Kuusamo during this magical season was truly inspirational and furthermore looked so, so different compared to the white frozen wonderland I got to know before.
