Baby John vs Pushpa 2-The Rule box office: Varun Dhawan’s film fails to score on extended weekend, Allu Arjun’s movie continues to rule
Sukumar's directorial Pushpa 2 The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, collected Rs 1156.85 crore net in India by its fourth weekend, according to a report in Sacnilk. Varun Dhawan's Baby John, released on Christmas this year, did not earn a total of Rs 30 crore after its five-day extended weekend. Pushpa 2: The Rule released in theatres on December 5 and recorded a phenomenal weekend at the box office.
Baby John falls flat
Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh starrer action film did not impress audience's with its plot and storyline. The film failed to collect big cash at the box office and opened at Rs 11.24 crore on the first day. The film witnessed a huge drop on the second day, earning Rs 4.75 crore. As per a report in Sacnilk, the film only managed to earn Rs 4.75 crore on the first Sunday.
Pushpa 2: The Rule earns big at the box office
The website reports that Pushpa 2: The Rule has earned Rs 15.5 crore net on its fourth Sunday. Its total earning is Rs 1156.85 crore net in India in 25 days. Allu Arjun starrer collections perked up by 42% on Saturday and has earned Rs 12.5 crore. Pushpa 2 maintain its strong position at the box office and beats its competition with a huge margin. The film is targeting Rs 750 crore in its entire run at the Hindi box office. The film does not have a major competition in Hindi until its Republic Day 2025 release. Pushpa 2: The Rule has emerged as the #1 film in Hindi and has beaten Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2.
Baby John is directed by Kalees and the film is a remake of 2016 Tamil blockbuster Theri starring Thalapathy Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson.
