Shah Rukh Khan backs PM Narendra Modi's WAVES summit, netizens slam his silence over Manmohan Singh's death

Shah Rukh Khan has a great fan following worldwide. With great stardom come greater responsibilities and SRK fans expect him to speak up when needed. However, it looks like the Jawan star has left his fans disappointed over his latest tweet. On December 26, former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh passed away and fans were waiting for Khan to share his condolence post. But SRK didn't post anything and instead promoted PM Narendra Modi's WAVES Summit on December 30, 2024.

SRK gets slammed

As soon as Shah Rukh Khan tweeted about the WAVES Summit, his replies and quote tweets were flooded with posts bashing him. A lot of his fans have questioned his silence over the death of former PM Narendra Modi. Khan tweeted, "It is with great anticipation that I look forward to WAVES - a film and entertainment world summit - to be held in our country itself. An occasion that celebrates our industry and acknowledges the role it plays in the Indian economy as well as its strength as a soft power and above all, an occasion that champions and fosters creativity!!! @narendramodi ji."

In quote tweets, many slammed the Pathaan star. One person wrote, "Still 0 posts on Manmohan Singh's demise but immediately rushed to tweet Modi Govt's toolkit. What a spineless coward, Even Diljit has more courage than him. Lost a fan @iamsrk." Another wrote, "no talk about cinema, no condolences for the former PM but of course will tweet for this sh*t." One more person wrote, "his is so shameful. So @iamsrk did not care to tweet about former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on his Demise but ready to promote Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat. As a Fan I feel Awful I'm sorry Dr Saab."

Another person wrote, "Had held on 2 hope until now that he'd tweet something abt Dr. Manmohan Singh. This tweet breaks my heart. Only actor whom I was a fan & had high regard. Turns out he too has lost his spine & developed feet of clay. Now I get why he hides his face behind umbrellas, hoodies, etc."
