'Allu Arjun was unnecessarily blamed for the death', Boney Kapoor reacts to Pushpa 2 stampede tragedy
The Pushpa 2 stampede tragedy has left the film industry in shock. On December 4, during the screening of Allu Arjun's movie at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, a lot of crowds gathered. The stampede led to a 35-year-old woman's death, leaving her 9-year-old son injured and hospitalised. Since then, a lot of people have bashed Arjun, who was also arrested for a day last month. Now Boney Kapoor has shared his reaction to the incident.
Boney Kapoor supports Allu Arjun
In an interview, producer Boney Kapoor talked about the mania there is for South stars. Boney talked about watching an Ajith's film at 1 am in the morning and was shocked to see 20 25 thousand people outside the theatre. When he came out at 4 am, there were more people standing outside. Kapoor revealed that he was told the same happens when Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, or Mahesh Babu's movies release.
Further, about the Pushpa 2 tragedy, Boney Kapoor said, "Ticket rates are inflated on the first two days or at least the first day for extra shows. That is why this situation has arisen where unnecessarily Allu Arjun was dragged and blamed for the death of a fan. It was only because of the crowd that had gathered to see the film."
After Allu Arjun was released on bail, some people attacked his house, leaving his fans concerned about his and his family's safety. A lot of stars like Rana Daggubati, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Varun Dhawan, and Rashmika Mandanna had come out in Arjun's support. Meanwhile, Arjun and Pushpa 2 director Sukumar has helped the victim's family financially. The director also visited the woman's boy in the hospital a few days ago. Even the Arya actor said earlier that they are ready to help the family in every possible way.
