Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai TV serial has left fans intrigued with its seven year leap. The show starring Rohit Purohit and Samridhii Shukla has taken an interesting turn as their characters Armaan and Abhira are now separated. Armaan stays with their daughter named Maira. New characters have also been introduced. A woman named Geetanjali has entered Armaan's life. He has now become a Radio Jockey and his life revolves around Maira. On the other hand, Abhira is living with Vidya and Kaveri.

The today's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was all about the introduction of Armaan's (Rohit Purohit) new life post the leap. It started with the entry of little Maira. She tries to make money by renting out umbrellas in the garden along with her grandfather. She is a 'jugaadu' just like her mother. It is her birthday today and that is the reason why she wants to make money. On the other hand, Armaan is a successful radio jockey but he struggles at work. In a scene, Armaan falls asleep when he is on-air. His boss shows up and throws water on his face. Armaan gets worried wondering if the water spoilt the birthday card he made for his daughter. His boss makes remarks about his daughter that leaves Armaan furious. Further, Geetanjali shows up and says that Armaan should buy a gift and cake for Maira.

At the shop, Armaan gets into a fight with shopkeeper. Armaan wants to buy a big teddy bear for Maira. However, he does not have enough money. The shopkeeper makes rude comments about 'aukaat' and says that his daughter does not deserve the expensive gift. Armaan gets angry again and gets into a physical fight with the shopkeeper. At home, Maira is waiting for her father. She gets all happy as Armaan shows up with a big teddy bear. However, she also gets worried as she see a wound on Armaan's hand. He forgets her cake though. Geetanjali helps him make her cake.

On the other side, Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) also celebrates Pookie's birthday. This time, Vidya and Kaveri support her. In the new promo, it is shown that Abhira is going to face another challenge as she will become a victim of a major financial fraud.
