The first season The series depicts the aftermath of the Great War of 2077, an apocalyptic nuclear exchange between the United States and China. The series takes place in an alternate history of Earth where advances in nuclear technology after World War II led to the emergence of a retrofuturistic society and a subsequent resource war. The second season carries on the story set in the barren terrain of post-nuclear America and will include New Vegas, an important site from the video game Fallout: New Vegas. Fallout Season 2 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video beginning December 17, 2025.
