Tennessee football doesn’t know who its next quarterback will be. That’s not a shocking development. But based on UT’s history under fifth-year coach Josh Heupel, the odds are his next quarterback will be a transfer. He has relied on a different starting quarterback from 2022 through 2025. And all but one of those starters — Nico Iamaleava in 2024 — has been a transfer. Heupel’s first was Hendon Hooker, who was recruited by former Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt.
