Local boys soccer teams back to build off memorable runs

The Metroplex never lacks for top-tier competition during high school soccer season, and last year saw a different slate of boys programs step to the forefront. Prosper Walnut Grove captured a state championship in just its second campaign on the varsity pitch, while Plano West and Mesquite turned in memorable postseason runs of their own, including a trip to the Class 6A Division II state championship match for the latter. Whether those three can replicate that success this spring remains to be seen, with the usual suspects from Frisco ISD, Lewisville ISD and Coppell all looking to make statements of their own. × This page requires Javascript....
