Charlevoix boys climb back for win over Kingsley, EJ strengthens Ski Valley lead
CHARLEVOIX — The Charlevoix boys basketball team stopped the bleeding of a four-game losing streak Friday, Jan. 30 with a much needed win. Hosting Kingsley, the Rayders overcame a 12-point deficit at the half and surged in the second half for a 54-48 victory over the Stags. “We pushed through a slow start and responded the right way,” Charlevoix coach Anthony Troshak said. “I’m proud of how we bounced back in the second half.” Charlevoix leaned on the play of Carter Greenacre and Joe Gaffney, each bringing key pieces to the night and came up clutch in the end when the Rayders needed to close things out. “Carter and Joe sparked our offense, they also knocked down some clutch free throws,”...
