Chiefs defeat Thunderhawks in explosive fourth quarter
The Thunder Dome was banging Tuesday, January 27th when the Crazy Horse Chiefs came thundering in to play some old time run and gun. The story goes that between the Chiefs and Thunderhawks, they put up a shot about every 10 to 15 seconds in the opening quarter. All this firepower meant the pace of the game was unbelievably fast and the excitement of the action exploded like a NASA rocket taking off at Cape Canaveral. Analytically, these two squads put up 35 shots in the first quarter. Tiopaye Topa threw up 17 and Crazy Horse launched 18. The Thunderhawks shot 6 of 12 from the floor (50 percent) and the Chiefs shot 9 of 12 (69.2 percent). But where the Chiefs really outshone the Thunderhawks...
