Olympian Maxim Naumov's parents were among the members of The Skating Club of Boston who were aboard the fatal plane collision near Ronald Reagan National Airport near Washington, D.C. on Jan. 29, 2025. Naumov's parents were figuring skating coaches Vadim Naumov and Evgenia Shishkova and they were flying with two athletes from the Boston area and their two mothers back from a development camp in Kansas.
