Armenian Defense Minister, US Charge d`Affaires in Yerevan discuss defense cooperation
ArmInfo.Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan and Charge d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Armenia, David Allen, have discussed Armenian-American defense cooperation at a meeting in Yerevan.
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, first, Papikyan congratulated Allen on his assumption of office and wished him success.
The head of the Armenian Defense Ministry also emphasized the importance of Armenian-American cooperation in the current period, when Armenia is in an active phase of defense reforms. Issues of bilateral military-technical cooperation were also addressed. The interlocutors emphasized education, personnel training, exercises, exchange of experience, and professional advisory support. David Allen expressed the United States' willingness to develop defense cooperation with Armenia, as well as support its defense reform process.
Regional and international security issues were also addressed.
