Swansboro boys basketball 'showed who we are' to earn share of conference title

SWANSBORO – First-year Swansboro boys’ basketball standout Connor May was quick to acknowledge the school atmosphere, and not necessarily his return from injury, following the Pirates’ 61-54 overtime win over Croatan on Monday night. “I don’t think anybody really expected us to beat Croatan because they’ve been playing really solid all year,” the junior said. “We came out with a close one earlier in the season, but tonight we came out ready to play with all these fans who showed up. “I just appreciate everybody coming out.
