Playoff report: Calvary Day boys beat GAC to advance to state quarterfinals

It was an evenly matched playoff battle as the Calvary Day boys basketball team hosted Greater Atlanta Christian Saturday with the Cavs going up against their former coach Scepter Brownlee, who left after last season to take over the program at GAC. The Cavaliers didn't play their best game of the year, but they came up big in key moments to beat the Spartans 51-47. Calvary Day, which entered the playoffs at No. 8 in the GHSA's Playoff Power Rankings, improved to 23-7 on the season and will take a road trip to Rome to face No. 1 Darlington (27-2) in an Elite Eight matchup set for Wednesday, March 4th, at a time to be announced....
