Laurel School girls basketball too much for West Branch in OHSAA regionals

CANTON — With a trip to Dayton on the line, West Branch freshman Madi Hoopes and Laurel senior Tristan Williams were dynamic in the first half of Saturday’s Division IV regional final at Canton Fieldhouse. Hoopes scored all 13 of the Warriors’ first-quarter points while Williams scored 20 as the Gators led by one at the half. Momentum shifted dramatically in the third quarter as the Gators outscored the Warriors by 12.
