Alabama high school basketball classes, areas for 2026-27, 2027-28 AHSAA seasons

The AHSAA released the new classes and areas for basketball on Friday, March 13 for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 seasons. The reclassification and shifting of areas came following the Central Board of Control meeting in Montgomery back on Friday, Jan. 23, where it was announced that public and private schools would be splitting for postseason play. The new alignment will feature eight classifications, six for public and two for private.
