Marco Moers nominated for Women’s Visibility Award
ABN AMRO’s long‑time Euro Hockey League sponsorship manager Marco Moers has been nominated for a Women’s Visibility Award, in the “One who is the biggest maverick” category, recognising commitment to driving equal opportunities for women and girls in sport.
As Sponsorship Manager at ABN AMRO, Moers has been a leading force behind several high‑impact initiatives from “De Inhaalslag”, which helped more than 55 hockey clubs and the EHL tackle gender inequality, to supporting the professionalisation of women’s football through ABN AMRO’s partnership with Ajax Women.
Most recently, Moers co‑created “Find Your Inner Power”, a movement in the Netherlands helping girls and women build mental resilience on and off the field, addressing issues such as performance pressure, visibility, and the lack of female role models.
Moers says the nomination is less about him and more about amplifying the mission: “This is an opportunity to raise awareness for equal opportunities. We’ve made great impact but there’s so much more to do.”
