African diplomats sat down at school desks
On November 19, representatives of embassies of several African countries visited the Moscow school – GBOU 1409. Diplomats from Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Angola, Ethiopia, the Central African Republic, and Burkina Faso became guests of the Moscow schoolchildren.
The diplomats got acquainted with modern methods of teaching Moscow schoolchildren and educational methods, the capabilities of professional classes, digital educational resources, and technological laboratories. The principal of the school, Irina Ilyicheva, conducted an excursion with diplomats through classrooms and school infrastructure.
In the process of discussing the possibilities of Russian-African cooperation, the President of the House of Africa, Konstantin Klimenko, proposed to organize a distance learning system for African schoolchildren on the basis of the school. Sergey Ladochkin, a member of the Moscow Public Chamber, Vice-President of the House of Africa, presented to the diplomats a project for the construction of Russian schools on the African continent.
During the visit to the school, there was a live communication between students of the school and African diplomats. There was a very interested conversation about the possibilities of international cooperation in the field of education.
The diplomats expressed their admiration for the high quality of the educational process and the logistical support of the Moscow school.
