Finally, it is worth noting there is a limitation to Ones to Watch players do not receive upgrades in conjunction with other promo cards. Therefore, if Tyler Adams gets some sort of wild 90+ card in April as part of an exciting new promo called Factsmashers or whatever it is, his OTW won't be upgraded to reflect the new promo. The market's bizarre transfer behaviour meant that it was usually practical and affordable to acquire good promo players to your team even within a few days of their debut. That may yet prove to be the case in FIFA 23, but at present, the top Ones to Watch players are likely cost you a substantial premium. Since they've received no upgrades at all and are not receiving any upgrades, it's hard to recommend spending any coins on them.
At the bottom of the spectrum, Nico Schlotterbeck from Borussia Dortmund is averaging around 14k coins at a cost of 4k higher than his current price. He's a decent starting centre-backbut doesn't have the desirable FIFA 23 buy Coins 'Lengthy running style', and despite Dortmund's lack of form, it's not difficult to imagine him locking in the Wins to Watch upgrade in the coming weeks.
