Легендарный рестлер "Серебряный Король" умер во время поединка

Мексиканский рестлер Сесар Гонсалес, известный под псевдонимом "Серебряный Король", умер во время поединка в Лондоне в возрасте 51 года. Об этом сообщает BBC.
Шоу Lucha Libre проходило на арене Раундхаус 11 мая. О том, что произошел форс-мажор не сразу поняли ни его соперник Ювентуд Геррерой, который какое-то время еще наносил удары Сезару, ни зрители, которые думали, что это часть шоу. Когда организаторы остановили бой, спасти "Короля" уже не удалось.
Предварительно причиной смерти стал сердечный приступ.

Сесар Гонсалес родился в Мексике в семье профессиональных борцов. Его отец и брат тоже были рестлерами, они известны под псевдонимами Dr. Wagner и Dr. Wagner Jr. В 2006 году Сесар вместе с комиком Джеком Блэком снялся в голливудской комедии "Суперначо".
Выступая под именем "Серебряный Король", Баррон добился всемирной славы. Он участвовал во Всемирном чемпионате по рестлингу (WCW) в США с 1997 по 2000 годы.
Соболезнования в связи со смертью Баррона выразила американская компания WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), занимающаяся проведением мероприятий рестлинга, поклонники во всем мире вспоминают легендарного рестлера в соцсетях.

Его коллега и соотечественник, мексиканский рестлер Хорхе Родригес, с которым Баррон встречался во многих поединках, выразил глубокое сожаление в связи со смертью "великого соперника", который, по его словам, "ушел так, как хотел - в бою".
