Aronian: I will try to show in Baku I respect the neighboring country

“Unfortunately, chess players cannot help resolve conflicts between countries, however I will try to show in Baku that I respect the neighboring country. I will play my best games and will try to rejoice my fans,” said the Armenian GM.

The World Cup will take place in Baku from September 10 to October 5. Besides Aronian, Hrant Melkumyan, Gabriel Sargsyan and Samvel Ter-Sahakyan will also take part in this tournament.
