Top 3 wrestlers to vie for World’s Champion

Armenian Greco-Roman wrestlers will be the first to compete: silver medalist at European Games Mihran Harutyunyan (66 kg), European and World Champion, silver medalist at Olympic Games Arsen Julfalakyan (75 kg), European and World champion, bronze medalist at Olympic Games Artur Aleksanyan (98 kg).

In the qualifying round, Harutyunyan will compete with  Jefrin Benito Mejia Sambula (Honduras), Julfalakyan will fight with Roman Vlasov (Russia) whom he lost to during the London Olympic Games final in 2012, and Aleksanyan will compete with Japanese Yasuhiro Yonehira at the 1/16 final.

European Champion, silver medalist of World Championship and bronze medalist of Olympic Games Roman Amoyan (59kg), Varsham Boranyan (71kg), Edward Sargsyan (80kg), Maksim Manukyan (85kg) and bronze medalist of World Youth Championships Edgar Khachatryan (125 kg) will also take part in the tournament.
