Whenever the subject of high real estate prices is discussed, it’s usually in the context of the City of Vancouver, as if the promised land of affordable housing awaits just beyond the city’s borders. Suburbanites know this to be largely a lie, since they, too, have seen dramatic real estate increases in their neighbourhoods. Those increases are made only worse by rising commuting costs.
