NHL defenceman didn't play by grizzly hunt rules, officers say

An NHL defenceman charged in connection with shooting a grizzly bear near Bella Bella on B.C.'s central coast did not meet residency requirements for the provincial hunt, conservation officers say. Clayton Stoner, 30, of the Anaheim Ducks is accused of five offences, including two counts of knowingly making a false statement to obtain a hunting licence.
