Le Tissier: Pedro choosing Chelsea hurts Man Utd rep

Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier can't believe Manchester United allowed Pedro to join Chelsea.

Le Tissier reckons top players such as former Barcelona attacker Pedro - a £21m recruit in the summer - are questioning whether to join the Old Trafford giants under the reign of their Dutch boss.

He said: "Losing Pedro was a really huge blow to United.

"They thought that was in the bag but Chelsea came and pinched him at the last minute and United were left with a bit of egg on their face.

"It's surprising because, when I was playing, if United were linked with a player and they wanted him, they got him.

"The player went and there was no question - he wanted to join that club.

"But it does seem at the moment that players are thinking twice about joining United, which certainly never happened in the past."
