Missing 8-yr-old found at friend’s home

An eight-year-old girl who was reported missing in Tlhabane near Rustenburg has been found, North West police said.

Rustenburg - An eight-year-old girl who was reported missing in Tlhabane near Rustenburg has been found, North West police said on Monday.

Sergeant Kelebogile Moleko said the missing child, Lakisha Kgodane, was found on Friday.

She was reported missing on Thursday, after she could not be traced at school, and was no where to be found. Police launched a massive search for the girl, and even enlisted help from members of the public.

The parents found her at one of her friend’s homes.

“The parents of the child reported back to the police that the child was found on Friday. According to them, the child slept over at her friend’s place without their consent,” said Moleko.
