Commission backs 'innovative' firms against 'restrictive' national laws

Uber's charm offensive in Europe suffered a serious setback on Tuesday (22 September), as France's highest court validated the French law banning the ride-hailing service.

However, the battle is far from over, as it is now the European Commission´s turn to judge whether the French regulation is in line with the EU regulations.
