Dianne Watts insists campaign flyer on Conservative policy toward ISIS terrorists is not fear-mongering

Stephen Harper’s star B.C. candidate is keeping a steady hand and staying on message following a wave of criticism caused by a provocative campaign brochure suggesting terrorist group ISIL, also known as ISIS, is a threat to Canada’s domestic security. Dianne Watts, Surrey’s former mayor, came under fire this week after residents in her South-Surrey-White Rock riding received the flyer, which featured, among other things, a headline that read: “ISIS URGES JIHADISTS TO ATTACK CANADIANS.”
