Wonderful Watercolors Spills. Exhibition, March 30 - April 20

The exhibition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the famous Crimean artist Konstantin Bogayevsky will work at the Art Museum on the venue of the Khan's Palace in Bakhchisaray.

Visitors will be able to see 26 works by the artist from the collection of the Bakhchisaray Historical, Cultural and Archaeological Museum and Reserve. All depict Bakhchisaray, the Khan's Palace and other religious buildings. As emphasized in the press service of the museum, Bogayevsky's paintings are harmonious, full of life and at the same time simple and clear.

A graduate of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1897), Konstantin Bogayevsky lived permanently in Theodosia. He painted mainly views of the eastern Crimea. He worked in Bakhchisaray at the beginning of his career (1902-1903) and in the 1920s. The stock collection of the Bakhchisaray Museum and Reserve contains 44 watercolors of the artist.
