Gorgeous! First Lady Michelle Obama hosted China's President Xi Jinping and his wife, Madame Peng Liyuan, at the State Dinner at the White House on Friday, Sept. 25. And fittingly, Obama turned to Vera Wang, who boasts a Chinese heritage, for her stunning dress.

While greeting the honored guests, the mom of two, 51, wowed in a black silk crepe mermaid gown with off-the-shoulder tulle sleeves, custom-crafted by Wang. The dress also featured a V-neckline and a hand-draped silk organza pleated skirt. She finished the ensemble with drop earrings.

Her husband, President Barack Obama, looked especially handsome in his crisp tuxedo with peaked lapels. The president also rocked a bow tie, which the first lady adorably helped him adjust while they waited on the red carpet.
