Government to release one billion drams for improvement of social conditions for residents of border villages
YEREVAN, October 1. / ARKA /. The Armenian government will release 928 million drams in 2016 that will be used to improve the social situation of residents of border villages, prime minister Hovik Abrahamyan said at a Thursday government meeting. At today's session the government approved a program for the development of border regions in 2016.
In this regard Abrahamyan said the money will be spent to compensate for some of the social costs of residents.
"In particular, the government will partly compensate for their electricity, gas and irrigation water bills and pay also fully their land tax and property taxes,' said Abrahamyan. ($ 1 - 472.85 drams). . -0-
